when i walk in the back woods of the property i find them on the ground, the "herd" of wild turkeys (70+) tend to roost in the trees back there, over the years i pick them up & bring them home with me, i don't hunt so they are not gathered that way at all.... each one i pick up always feels like a gift, & that is how i gather them, the turkeys are always honored!
