winters dark & candles light....

the warmth of this past summers sun has slipped away, as the nights lengthen & the seasons have shifted, & the circle turns..
 i tuck in now, i slow down, i am more reflective...
& find the warmth for myself in my own ways...
candles glow.. baked or roasted foods, pots of simmering soup...
hot soaky baths... lovely warm comfy sweaters & big socks & hats...
my focus changes...as does my creative expressions....
time to rest & nurture self...
i honor the angels of the snow, crisp chilly air...
i am grateful for a snug home & all that keeps me warm
as the winter blossoms white & cold.
